Our Undergraduate programmes

BSc. Agronomy

At the end of the training programme, graduates of the B.Sc. (Agronomy) programme shall be equipped with knowledge and practical skills necessary to undertake the following:

 

i) Work as farm managers. 

ii) Plan, appraise, manage and evaluate projects related to agronomy and/or agriculture. 

iii) Employ their skills in the fields related to crop production including agronomy and crop protection. 

iv) Offer consultancy on issues related to agriculture and/or agronomy.

 

BSc. Laboratory science and technology

This is a programme in the making.

At the end of the training programme, graduates of the B.Sc. (Agronomy) programme shall be equipped with knowledge and practical skills necessary to undertake the following:

BSc. Geology

At the end of the training programme, graduates of the B.Sc. (Geology) programme shall be equipped with knowledge and practical skills necessary to undertake the following:

 

i) Identify, classify and describe rocks and minerals in the field and hand specimen

ii) Plan and manage projects related to mining and exploration for minerals, petroleum and groundwater resources

iii) Carry-out independent research, data analysis and interpretation in the domain of geological sciences and thereafter prepare research project report and communicate research findings to the public.

iv) Interpret mining laws and regulations on new and ongoing mining projects in the country 

v) Offer consultancy on issues related to geology, mining, petroleum and hydrogeology, 

vi) Provide advice on issues related to geology, mining, hydrogeology and /or petroleum.
